Don Lewis is a distinguished composer and sound designer known for his radical concepts in electronic music and sound design. He pioneered a multi-synthesizer network for live performances called The Live Electronic Orchestra (LEO), a visionary concept that was ten years ahead of its time. This innovative instrument significantly influenced the development of MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface), inspiring Roland Corporation founder Ikutaro Kakehashi and Dave Smith of Sequential Circuits to create a global standard for electronic instruments.
