Scott Peer

Audio Technology Innovator and Engineer

Scott Peer’s career spans decades of innovation in pro audio and keyboard development. Beginning as the lead firmware engineer at Sequential, he contributed to the Prophet 3000. After Sequential, he joined Peavey, where he developed the groundbreaking DSP-based DPM keyboard series, the PC 1600 MIDI controller, and the DPM C8 keyboard controller. At Ensoniq, he worked on the ASR-10 and MR series and led the design and firmware development for the ASR-X and Fizmo synthesizers, as well as the PARIS DAW.
Scott’s expertise extended into wireless audio systems at Shure, where he directed the Advanced Development team responsible for the Axient wireless microphone system. He later transitioned into consumer audio, contributing to products at Plantronics and Universal Audio, where he established the microphone product line. Now based in Australia, Scott focuses as Principal on SoundEngine.com and consulting, continuing to impact the world of sound.
